The E-R-A is 28A, the Constitution reads
It met both the requirements for women to be freed
The E-R-A, we thus proclaim, is now law of the land
Equality for women is on what we make our stand
We’ve fought so hard, for centuries, to win equality
We marched and put our lives at risk, in order to be free!
The E-R-A, the E-R-A, we look on you with awe!
Against all odds, we persevered, and now it is the law!
We fly our flag for equal rights denied us for so long
We stand firm for the E-R-A, because it makes us strong!
The E-R-A, the E-R-A, we honor it with song!
And thanks to all the 38, who rectified a wrong!
We women are a multitude, our worth is plain to see!
We claim our right to liberty, to shape our destiny!
The E-R-A, the E-R-A, we honor it with song!
And join our sisters in one voice, the great intrepid throng!
America, America, God shed Her grace on thee!
And crowned thy good with sisterhood from sea to shining sea!
